LACROIX Β· SOFREL LogUp

🌊 LogUp loggers i

Battery-powered cellular loggers for sites with no power: lift stations, tanks, pressure points, meters, CSO outfalls, rain gauges, water quality. Everything you need to sell, set up and run them with ScadaBOSS.

From the box to live data i
The order we commission a LogUp in. Steps marked LACROIX happen in LACROIX's tools (the My SOFREL LogUp app and the LX CONNECT web portal), ScadaBOSS here, Field on site. A typical site is online in under an hour on the bench.
1

Choose the pack and sensors ScadaBOSS

Pick the application sheet that matches the site (tab Application sheets). It names the pack β€” 222 for levels and pressures, 202 for meters and rain gauges, M222 for Modbus water-quality sensors β€” the sensors, and the tag names to use. Use loop-powered 2-wire 4–20 mA transmitters that settle in a few seconds: the LogUp powers the loop only while it measures.

2

Get the LX CONNECT account ready LACROIX

Every LogUp is managed in LX CONNECT, LACROIX's web platform. Make sure the customer (or we, for them) has an LX CONNECT account and that the new loggers are in it. LACROIX offers LX CONNECT as a hosted service (SaaS) or on the utility's own servers; the hosted service is the usual choice for a small system.

Ask your LACROIX contact which LX CONNECT account the loggers are delivered into before they ship β€” it saves a day at commissioning.
3

Wire the sensors on the bench Field

Terminate as the application sheet shows: transmitters on the analog inputs, floats and fail relays on the dry-contact inputs (no voltage), meter or rain-gauge pulses on the counting inputs. The LogUp has quick-lock connectors for its digital, analog and Modbus inputs.

⚠ Check the conductor colours against the legend on the supplied cable before terminating. Surge protection on anything that leaves the structure; gas-tight splices in wet wells.
4

Check it with the My SOFREL LogUp app LACROIX

Install My SOFREL LogUp on a phone (LACROIX's datasheet lists it for Android) and connect to the logger over Bluetooth. The app commissions the logger and shows live values from your sensors straight away β€” move the float, open the tap, and watch the reading change before the unit leaves the shop.

βœ“ Checkpoint: every sensor reads right in the app.
5

Configure it in LX CONNECT LACROIX

In LX CONNECT, open the device and its configuration:

  • Name the channels as the application sheet says (WetWell_Level_ft, Tank_Level_ft …) and scale each analog input to engineering units.
  • Set how often it measures (5–15 minutes is typical) and how often it sends (once a day is the battery's best friend).
  • Set the thresholds in the logger for anything urgent β€” high level, low pressure, a spill. A crossed threshold makes the LogUp send at once instead of waiting for its daily call: that is your alarm path.
  • Check the battery estimate LX CONNECT shows before you apply: it changes with every period you set.
6

Make it send β€” confirm the cloud LACROIX

Trigger a transmission from the app. Within a minute the device in LX CONNECT shows a new last connection with your channel values.

βœ“ Checkpoint: today's time on the device in LX CONNECT.
7

Connect it to ScadaBOSS ScadaBOSS

ScadaBOSS reads the logger's data from LX CONNECT through LACROIX's data-sharing API β€” nothing is typed into the logger. On Monitoring β†’ + Add Device, choose the Lacroix LX application (Lift Station, Water Tank or Booster, or plain Lacroix LX for the others) and paste the device UID from LX CONNECT. We approve it and map its channels.

Data sharing: the logger's data must be shared from LX CONNECT to ScadaBOSS. If the device is not in an LX CONNECT account ScadaBOSS already reads, we arrange the sharing with you and LACROIX.
βœ“ Checkpoint: the site is on πŸ“Ÿ Fleet within minutes of approval, its missed-call-in alarm already armed.
8

Set the alarms and who hears them ScadaBOSS

On πŸ”” Alarming the device's cloud alarms are on. Set the levels from the application sheet, choose e-mail, push or both, and press Send test alarm to prove it reaches the phone. On every unit add a low alarm on Battery_DaysLeft at 180 days and on Reception_dBm at βˆ’105 dBm: battery and antenna problems then announce themselves months ahead.

9

Install it and prove it Field

Mount the logger, connect the real sensors, and trigger one more send from the final spot. Check Reception_dBm on the site page: better than βˆ’95 dBm is comfortable; worse, mount it higher or fit an external antenna on its connector. Finish with a real alarm: lift the float or crack the tap, and watch the e-mail and push arrive.

βœ“ Done β€” data every day, alarms at once, years on the battery.
